Lee and Manning named Lake Oswego High School Athletes of the Week for Apr. 24

Lee is a freshman on the Lake Oswego High School varsity tennis team, and Manning is a senior on the varsity softball team.

One kicking off their high school athletic career in tennis, and another closing their final season in softball, both of this week’s athletes are bringing their best to their teams on the field and on the court. Jay Lee and Ema Manning have been named Lake Oswego High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of April 24th.

Lee, a freshman on the Lake Oswego High School varsity tennis team, brings “positivity and laughter to every practice and match,” his coach said. “For a freshman he is incredibly cool, collected, and reliable on the court.” Lee currently remains undefeated (7-0) in his start to his high school tennis career, playing #2 singles and #1 doubles this season.

On the varsity softball team, Manning, a senior right fielder, put in effort udirn ghte off season and came back at the top of her game for her senior season. Last week, Manning went 4 for 8, including a huge 3-run walk-off homerun to deep left-center field. “It is truly wonderful when hard work translates into success on the field,” her coach said.
