    'Go play:' Check out markets in West Linn, Lake Oswego

    West Linn market

    Summer is almost here, and with it the West Linn Summer Street Market.

    The Wednesdays in Willamette Summer Street Market is put on by Historic Willamette Main Street and takes place each Wednesday afternoon on Willamette Falls Drive between 12th Street and 15th Street. The market lasts from 4-8 p.m.

    The market boasts goods like handmade crafts, jewelry, distilled spirits, wine, fresh flowers and baked goods. Later in the summer, local farmers will also be on hand to sell their produce.

    Heritage month celebration

    The city of Lake Oswego will host a Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month Celebration from 12-3 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at Millennium Plaza Park. The event will include lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, dim sum, bubble tea and more.

    STEM fair

    The Youth Action Council and the Lake Oswego High School STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) club are hosting a STEM Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at Christ Church Parish in Lake Oswego. The event will include robotics demos, activities, games and more.

    Lake Oswego market

    The Lake Oswego Farmers Market will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at Millennium Plaza Park. The event will include vendors selling fresh produce, hot food, artisanal goods and more. There also will be music.
