Dickson and Kotansky named Lakeridge High School Athletes of the Week for May 15

Dickson is a junior on the Pacers’ varsity softball team, and Kotansky is a junior on the varsity baseball team.

Showing off on the field for the Pacers in both softball and baseball, junior athletes Finley Dickson and Jake Kotansky have been named Lakeridge High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of May 15th.

Dickson, an outfielder on the varsity softball team, had an impressive performance in the Pacers’ game against Tualatin, going 3 for 4 at the plate. She made a spectacular diving catch in left field—"Fully laying out like Superman – it was awesome!" her coach said. “She also had a great slide at home plate, moving around and under the tag.”

Kotansky, a catcher on the varsity baseball team, is currently hitting .325 this season. He went 3 for 3 with two doubles against West Linn on April 30. Through May 1, he has thrown out 15 runners trying to steal. “[Kotansky] was an infielder last year who took on the role of becoming a catcher to better the team,” his coach said. “He has displayed great leadership behind the plate and off the field as well.”
