Photos: Lake Oswego commemorates Memorial Day at Foothills Park

Hundreds of attendees paid their respects to those who died while serving their country during a Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 27 at Foothills Park in Lake Oswego.

The event included a 21-gun salute, a presentation of colors, a keynote address from Army security agent, Vietnam veteran and First Lieutenant Mike Holm, a flyover by the West Coast Ravens and more.

The city of Lake Oswego said about 500 people attended the event.

The event was put on by the Lake Oswego Veterans Memorial Honoring Service and the city of Lake Oswego. This year two additional plaques were added to the park memorial: a blue plaque for soldiers serving their country currently and a gold plaque for those who were killed during their service.
