Lake Oswego Lions Club pancake breakfast fundraiser returns July 4

The Lake Oswego Lions Club and Vision Envoy Club Branch Fourth of July pancake breakfast is just around the corner.

The 75th annual event will be held from 8-11 a.m. Thursday, July 4 at George Rogers Park.

Event attendees can enjoy an all-you-can-eat assortment of pancakes as well as sausages, coffee and orange juice while singer Rae Gordon and her band perform blues and soul songs. Entry costs $10 for adults and $7 for children under age 12.

Through the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation, the event supports access to eye surgeries and treatments as well as affordable access to eyeglasses. The Lions club is looking for volunteers and sponsors for the event.

“By being involved in this event as a volunteer, sponsor, or participant you will support the efforts of LOLC and our VisionEnvoy Club Branch to help provide vision and hearing assistance to neighbors who can’t afford exams, glasses, or hearing aids and support local food pantries and various other charities while enjoying the food, music, and fellowship of friends and family right here in our community!” a Lions club press release reads. “We’ll be collecting donations of used eyeglasses and hearing aids for the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation as part of our Keep the Promise Days, a series of Lions’ events throughout Oregon celebrating the work of Lions’ as we keep the promise we made to Helen Keller to address preventable blindness and hearing loss.”
