    A difficult morning after a wedding and a driver who forgot they were in the U.S.: Lake Oswego's police log

    ACCIDENTS

    6/28 6:19 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported near the 14800 block of Kruse Oaks Drive. No one was injured.

    6/28 8:03 p.m. An accident was reported near Bangy Road and Southwest Bonita Road. No one was injured.

    6/29 4:35 p.m. A car hit someone on a motorized scooter while driving on the wrong side of the road near 1st Street and E Avenue. No one was injured. The driver said they were from England and reverted to old habits.

    6/30 2:44 p.m. An accident was reported near South Shore Boulevard and Blue Heron Road. No one was injured.

    6/30 3:17 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported near the 16300 block of Boones Ferry Road. No one was injured.

    THEFT

    6/28 4:11 p.m. Monster drinks were reported stolen from a store near the 16300 block of Boones Ferry Road.

    6/28 4:50 p.m. Boots valued at $300 were reported stolen near the 17700 block of Jean Way.

    6/30 9:33 a.m. Cash and other items were stolen in a burglary at an undisclosed location.

    MISC.

    6/28 8:57 a.m. A person said they FaceTimed with a woman and performed sexual acts during their call. Apparently the woman recorded the call and superimposed a different woman than herself on it — possibly someone who was underaged. She threatened to post the video if she didn’t receive money.

    6/28 9:03 a.m. Someone said they called the night before about a dog being left in a vehicle near Lower Drive and Bryant Road, and the dog was still there nine hours later.

    6/28 11:13 a.m. A caller said they had a no soliciting sign, but solicitors kept coming to their home anyway near the 13500 block of Provincial Hill Way.

    6/28 11:19 a.m. A person reported that their friend was in an abusive relationship.

    6/28 11:39 a.m. A man said a hanging tree limb fell on his car while he was driving near Independence Avenue and Monticello Drive. He thought the tree belonged to the city and they didn’t trim it.

    6/28 11:54 a.m. A sex crime involving a juvenile was reported.

    6/28 11:58 a.m. A possible DUII was reported near the 1300 block of McVey Avenue.

    6/28 12:04 p.m. A resident said they inherited their father-in-law’s gun and thought it was unregistered.

    6/28 1:53 p.m. A woman said she was walking outside City Hall when an off-leash dog ran towards her and her dog, then growled. She was told that the dog was “a medical dog.”

    6/28 2:20 p.m. Someone had questions about needing a license plate on the front of a vehicle.

    6/28 2:20 p.m. Illegal fireworks were reported near the 1500 block of Greentree Road.

    6/28 3:31 p.m. A person had been sitting in a vehicle for about three hours near the 15200 block of Bangy road. Apparently all the windows were blacked out and he kept ducking when people walked by.

    6/28 6:24 p.m. A caller said she lost her driver’s license and was trying to order a new one online, but didn’t know her ID number. She wanted an officer to provide the information.

    6/28 8:27 p.m. An ongoing issue with construction noise was reported near the 10 block of Icarus Loop.

    6/28 9:37 p.m. A suspicious looking person was looking into cars and walking in the road near Lakeview Boulevard and Bryant Road.

    6/28 10:12 p.m. Fireworks were reported near the 200 block of Greenridge Drive.

    6/28 10:22 p.m. A person who appeared to be homeless was walking in people’s yards near Lake Grove Avenue and Reese Road.

    6/28 10:43 p.m. A loud party was reported near the 15600 block of Manchester Drive.

    6/29 1:14 a.m. A woman said she was driving to LOPD to talk to an officer about her situation and where she could sleep that night.

    6/29 1:23 a.m. A DUII was reported near Boones Ferry Road and Bryant Road.

    6/29 7:47 a.m. Someone who appeared to be homeless was walking near the 15700 block of Waluga Drive after emerging from the bushes.

    6/29 10:54 a.m. A resident said they found what looked like a fake gun at an undisclosed location.

    6/29 11:13 a.m. A caller was worried about a man who was lying in a planter on the side of the road near Boones Ferry Road and Pilkington Road. When police arrived he woke up from his “nap” and did not want to talk.

    6/29 11:31 a.m. Someone wanted to talk to an officer about a dog that was routinely off leash near the 3400 block of McNary Parkway.

    6/29 2:55 p.m. A suspicious looking person was looking into cars and the trash near the 5000 block of Foothills Road.

    6/29 7:25 p.m. A caller said their sister who lived in Woodburn was driving while intoxicated in Lake Oswego. Police didn’t find anyone.

    6/29 8:11 p.m. A resident said they saw a man on a motorcycle take a package from their neighbor’s front porch near the 5000 block of Hampton Court.

    6/29 8:59 p.m. Someone set off fireworks and ran away near the 200 block of Greenridge Drive.

    6/29 9:13 p.m. A possible domestic incident was reported.

    6/29 11:10 p.m. A loud party with a “drum beat” was heard near West Bay Road and South Shore Boulevard.

    6/30 3:33 a.m. A person who seemed “very upset” was throwing rocks at a window near the 600 block of 1st Street.

    6/30 6:31 a.m. A caller said a man asked them for tools to break into a vehicle near the 300 block of Oswego Pointe Drive. Apparently he’d been at a wedding and was “quite hungover” or possibly still drunk. He’d locked his keys in his car and was trying to break in.

    6/30 8:24 a.m. A woman said her ex-boyfriend had been staying at her home for a week and claimed he would destroy her things.

    6/30 10:09 a.m. A suspicious looking vehicle was parked on private property near the 200 block of Greenridge Drive.

    6/30 10:22 a.m. A caller said construction workers were playing music so loud that she couldn’t hear her television near the 700 block of 1st Street.

    6/30 12:51 p.m. A resident said a man was prowling around their house and stole two bags of cans at an undisclosed location.

    6/30 4:13 p.m. A caller reported an ongoing issue with dogs being left in a backyard and “barking nonstop at anything that passes” near the 600 block of 5th Street.

    6/30 4:30 p.m. A possible DUII was reported near Country Club Road and C Avenue.

    6/30 4:41 p.m. A woman came into a restaurant and asked for shoes near the 300 block of 1st Street. When told they didn’t have shoes, the woman said she had a gun and that the employee was “pissing her off.”

    6/30 4:50 p.m. Kids were jumping off a deck that said “no jumping” near the 100 block of Foothills Road.

    6/30 5:59 p.m. A caller reported an outdoor concert going on near the 2000 block of Country Club Road, when she “just wants to enjoy her Sunday evening.” She said because it was Christian music, “people think it’s fine,” but if it was a different religion people would complain.

    6/30 6:10 p.m. A suspicious looking vehicle was following another car near the 13900 block of Knaus Road.

    6/30 6:41 p.m. A woman was at someone’s front door and possibly on drugs at an undisclosed location. She said she’d just gotten out of prison and thought the person who lived at the home was her husband.

    6/30 7:29 p.m. A restraining order was reportedly violated.

    6/30 8:33 p.m. Abuse and neglect of a child was reported.

    6/30 9:00 p.m. Kids were fishing off a bridge near the 700 block of North Shore Road.

    6/30 9:40 p.m. Police took several reports about fireworks.

    6/30 10:28 p.m. Kids were banging on doors and “scaring people” near Lake Bay Court and 4th Street.

    6/30 11:36 p.m. Someone said their neighbors were having a party near the 3000 block of Tolkien Lane. Police found family members sitting outside enjoying the evening.

    7/1 12:48 a.m. A man was staring through the front doors of a business near the 3900 block of Mercantile Drive. He said he was looking because he wanted to have lunch there the next day.

    7/1 2:06 a.m. A person was lying on the sidewalk near A Avenue and 7th Street.
