    'Go play:' Attend summer events in Lake Oswego, West Linn and Wilsonville

    Lake Oswego concerts

    Heart tribute band Barracuda will entertain audiences from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Foothills Park. These concerts are part of the city of Lake Oswego’s Summer Concert Series. The band performs oldies hits.

    The Norman Sylvester Band will perform blues songs from 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Millennium Plaza Park.

    Wilsonville concert

    Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts will kick off the Rotary Club of Wilsonville Summer Concert Series with a performance at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at Town Center Park. On July 25 at the same time Rockit Radio will perform Top 40 songs and dance music.

    West Linn concert

    Country band Brewer’s Grade will entertain audiences at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Tanner Creek Park.

    Wilsonville movie

    The movie “Elemental” will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Edelweiss Park.

    West Linn market

    Summer is here, and with it the West Linn Summer Street Market.

    The Wednesdays in Willamette Summer Street Market is put on by Historic Willamette Main Street and takes place each Wednesday afternoon on Willamette Falls Drive between 12th Street and 15th Street. The market lasts from 4-8 p.m.

    The market boasts goods like handmade crafts, jewelry, distilled spirits, wine, fresh flowers and baked goods. Later in the summer, local farmers will also be on hand to sell their produce.

    Lake Oswego market

    The Lake Oswego Farmers Market will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at Millennium Plaza Park. The event will include vendors selling fresh produce, hot food, artisanal goods and more. There also will be music.

    Arts council exhibit

    The Arts Council of Lake Oswego’s new exhibit, “Line in the Cloud,” which includes photography by artist Akihiko Miyoshi, will run through Aug. 2.
