It’s officially August and that means it’s time for residents to visit some of the newest premiere housing in the Portland region.

While Street of Dreams pivoted from a Lake Oswego-specific showing in the Forest Highlands neighborhood (which will now take place in 2025) to a tour format across the Portland area, there still will be five Lake Oswego homes featured in this year’s event — two that were newly-constructed, two remodels and a complex of luxury condominiums.

Here is what the event has to offer in Lake Oswego.

    New construction

Renaissance Homes is unveiling a 5,322-square-foot home with five bedrooms and five bathrooms near Forest Hills Elementary School. The home’s listed sales price is $4.4 million and it boasts a 360 lounge with a juice bar, wine cellar and connected porch with a barbecue; the home also has two garages, a mudroom, an art studio, a private backyard with mature Douglas fir trees and more.

“A 360 lounge is a lounge that is off the kitchen, off the dining room and off the juice bar. It’s a lounge where you can sit and see 360 degrees of the downstairs. It’s a cute, built-in nook area, has a roundtable and is a hangout spot where you can be out of the way but still part of what is going on,” Renaissance Homes President Randy Sebastian said.

Sebastian described the home as a “modern mansion” that is perfect for someone who seeks a luxury abode within a walkabout community near restaurants and other amenities.

On Goodall Court, Exceptional Homes by Andre has built a $4.6 million home with an 18,000-foot backyard (providing ample room for gardening or even a pool), four bedrooms and a guest suite, seven fridges, old-world marble finishes combined with natural materials, garages with glass doors, large peaked roofs and more.

“It’s old world with a modern twist,” builder Andre Koshuba said, adding that the home is perfect for someone who wants to entertain due to the multiple kitchens and a spacious outdoor area.

“I hope they (visitors) feel how luxurious this place is. It’s a luxury. That’s what we are aiming for,” he added.

    Remodels

Anlon Construction Company rebuilt a home to make it brighter and with enhanced visual access to Oswego Lake. The remodel included the addition of a 20-foot sliding door, raised windows to attract more light, lighter flooring, a large fireplace, a floating vanity with a vessel sink and wall-hung faucet and a brighter paint job.

“It’s a good example of (how) you can do things (in a remodel) that are a little more aggressive and take advantage of newer products,” builder Scott Bowles said.

C&K Custom Remodeling designer Isaac Musket said the homeowners of a Boones Way remodel in the Street of Dreams bought a fixer-upper that they wanted to transform into a modern and livable abode. Musket mentioned the hidden doorway in between two bedrooms designed for siblings, a stairway with dark-stained wood, lighting fixtures with brass accents, an expanded sunroom that extends into the backyard, a sitting area at the home’s entryway, traditional cabinetry and more.

“It stands out because it’s more of a traditional design with modern elements, whereas the majority of the tour is modern homes,” Musket said.

And he said the owners are “loving every minute of it.”

    Luxury condominiums

The Frances Condominiums by Hugh Development features two units that will be showcased in this year’s Street of Dreams. The units are about 2,200 square feet each and include two bedrooms, flex space that could be an office or library, a floating fireplace in the living rooms, white oak flooring and a wet bar. The condominiums are located on D Avenue.

“Frances Lake Oswego is more than just a building – it’s a community. Immerse yourself in a lifestyle that celebrates quality, craftsmanship, and the finest attention to detail,” the Street of Dreams website reads.

The Street of Dreams is open Aug. 1-18 from Thursdays to Sundays, but the website has more specific times.
