UMBWMC Ranked #5 Hospital in Area by US News & World Report
The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is ranked #5 in the state of Maryland and the Baltimore Metro area on U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospital’s list, released today. The hospital was also rated High Performing for the care it provides in eight common procedures: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, lung cancer surgery and pneumonia.
Six Flags America to Implement Chaperone Policy Beginning Friday, July 26
Six Flags America at 13710 Central Ave in Bowie, MD has announced it will implement a chaperone policy starting Friday, July 26, 2024. HOLLYWOOD, Md. – To highlight the deadly consequences of speeding, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the investigative findings of the fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe that occurred on April 7, 2024, in Hollywood, MD.
