After The Storm: Clarksville FBC Disaster Relief Team Brings Hope, Help To Storm Victims
Tornado, floods, and mudslides. The Disaster Relief team at Clarksville First Baptist Church is ready to respond after a natural disaster. The men grab their chain saws and begin removing tree limbs, clearing roads, and making temporary and minor structural repairs to homes. They operate heavy machinery such as skid steers and man lifts to assist in clearing the debris. They show up on the scene of destroyed neighborhoods and begin the heavy lifting to make room for restoration in the community.
Two months after tornadoes swept through Benton County, cities continue cleanup efforts
BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Benton County has picked up about 450,000 cubic yards of debris from county-maintained roads and streets outside of city limits. According to Melody Kwok with Benton County, their first pickup pass focused on tree stumps and vegetative debris, now they aim to finish the first phase by Aug. 18 before moving on to phase two.

Missing Arkansas girl found safe, state police say
HOWARD COUNTY, Ark. - A missing Arkansas girl was found safe a day after an AMBER Alert was issued for her. Arkansas State Police (ASP) said that 16-year-old Autumn Nicole Lyon went missing Saturday, July 27 from Mineral Springs, Ark. Investigators believe she met 30-year-old Adrian Garces online, left with him, and that the pair went to Texas.

Heat Warnings Issued in Oklahoma and Arkansas, Indexes up to 113 Degrees
Oklahoma City, OK – An excessive heat warning is in effect for parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas from noon to 9 PM today. Residents should prepare for dangerously high heat index values up to 113 degrees in affected areas including Tulsa, Muskogee, and Bartlesville. A heat advisory has also been issued for the rest of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with heat indexes expected to reach up to 109 degrees.
