Maidu rolling in Section 4 playoffs
After two games, Maidu looks unbeatable in the Section 4 10-11-year-old All-Star Tournament being held at Mann Park in Folsom. In their opening game Friday, Maidu blanked North Natomas, 16-0, and today disposed of Lincoln, 14-0. A win tomorrow against West Sacramento would move Maidu into the championship game on Tuesday and would make them a huge favorite.

A tragic event unfolded in Marysville over the weekend when a man was fatally stabbed. Identified as 42-year-old Elva Leroy Frederick II, the victim succumbed to his injuries after being attacked early Saturday.
