The City of Grass Valley is pleased to announce the dismissal of a recent lawsuit challenging voters’ approval of Measure B at the March election ⅜-cent sales tax to fund fire protection efforts. This allows the City to redirect its full attention to the critical task of safeguarding our community from the threat of wildfires. Lindhurst FFA shines at Yuba-Sutter Fair
Lindhurst FFA members recently attended the 2024 Yuba-Sutter Fair where 23 students exhibited livestock projects and sold them during the Junior Livestock Auction. Leading up to the fair, students were responsible for purchasing, raising, record keeping, and marketing their livestock projects. Lindhurst FFA members exhibited eight hogs, two steers, one replacement heifer, five turkeys, and seven lambs. At the fair students also had the opportunity to show their livestock projects in showmanship and markets classes where professional livestock judges evaluated their animal's overall quality and their student’s ability to show the animal.
