Ideas & Opinions — Paul Eagle: Diversity, equality, inclusion training shows respect and empathy
Terry McLaughlin’s recent column, DEI In Action, described Dr. Owen Anderson’s long and complicated lawsuit against Arizona State University for mandatory DEI. It reminded me of the preposterous lengths that some white men will take to hold onto their power and privilege. Rather it is a way to show respect and empathy while promoting human dignity for all.

We were all heading to the same spot, the Escarpment, which sits on the top of the ridge and overlooks Olympic Valley. The climb to get there is stout: three miles and 2,500 vertical feet, but it would put me in the perfect position for sunrise photos as runners passed by.
