OROVILLE, Calif. — Oroville canceled its Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration event due to the Thompson Fire which forced thousands of residents to evacuate Tuesday. The fireworks show is put together with donations to the Oroville Chamber of Commerce. Officials say those funds will be used for a community firework show at a “later and safer date.”
