Drakes baseball in position to earn postseason bid entering second half: Marysville Indy BB sending six players, manager to all-star game on Sunday
Saturday marks the end of the first half of the Pecos League Independent League baseball season. Sunday is the all-star game in both the Mountain and Pacific Divisions. The Marysville Drakes, a member of the Pacific Division, will send six of its players and Field Manager Bill Rogan to Martinez for the Sunday matinee set for 2 p.m. Rogan will be joined by Oroville native Earl Johnson, Garrett Mos, Joe Starick, formerly of the Lincoln Potters, Jumpei Ohashi, Bryan Krolikowski and Mike Vochelli. All will be a part of the East roster alongside players and coaches from Marysville, Martinez and Bakersfield. The West roster, managed by San Rafael’s Austin Fitzpatrick, makes up players from Dublin, Vallejo and Pacific-leading San Rafael.
