At this writing, crews were working tirelessly to contain the Thompson Fire that ignited Tuesday and prompted thousands of Oroville-area residents to evacuate. Damage was limited to four structures, and as the vegetation fire crossed 3,800 acres Friday morning, firefighters had it 46% contained.
