The 68th Tevis Cup is almost here. Next Saturday, July 20, riders leave Robie Park at 5:15 a.m. and must be across the finish line in Auburn by 5:15 a.m. Sunday, July 21. Echo Valley Ranch, Inc. has been providing feed and support for more than 30 years to Tevis Cup riders, who are arriving in Auburn for the annual 100 Miles One Day event along the Western States Trail. Peach Festival returns this weekend to Marysville

Home burns to the ground in Rough and Ready
A single wide modular home burned to the ground off of the 11,000 block of Bonanza Way in Rough and Ready Monday morning. The home was a complete loss and the fire spread to the nearby vegetation but reportedly burned less than an acre and was stopped with the help of firefighters on the ground and in the air. Air attack 17, and air tankers from the Grass Valley Interagency Air Attack Base as well as Helicopter 514 out of White Cloud Helitack Base responded quickly to the reports of Monday’s fire.
