    ‘Not a safe area.’ 5 ticketed for jumping off Concord Road bridge into Lake Wylie

    YORK COUNTY, S.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Five people were ticketed on the Fourth of July for jumping off a local bridge into Lake Wylie.

    According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, they issued multiple warnings to the public about not jumping from the Concord Road bridge.

    “We tried to warn you,” the YCSO shared on social media. “Now our patrol is giving these five people tickets for trespassing. It’s not a safe area.”

    The sheriff’s office continues to stress to residents that it’s not safe to jump into the lake from this bridge.
