Source of mysterious sheen on Mississippi River revealed
COON RAPIDS, Minn — A mystery has been swirling around the Mississippi River all week: Where did a sheen on the water come from?. The sheen was first reported on Tuesday, at the Highway 610 Bridge in Coon Rapids, and another was reported Wednesday morning near West Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park.

Wheelchair accessible playground built in Mendota Heights
More than 150 volunteers gathered at Somerset Heights Elementary in late July and early August to help build a playground for children of all abilities. State Patrol – Minnesota Man Killed While Walking on Busy Highway
Blaine, MN (KROC-AM News) - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early this morning in the Twin Cities. The State Patrol says the deadly incident occurred around 5:45 AM in Blaine.
