The Lake Miriam Publix has officially closed and will reopen next summer with a fresh, remodeled look — but that’s not the only grocer closing its doors. A few miles down the street, the Winn-Dixie at Imperial Christina Plaza has put up signage saying it will close, though no official announcement has been made as to what the store will turn into.

Despicable Me 4 – Movie Review
For a franchise that has been fairly consistent with its style of PG animated humor, the “Despicable Me” movies are kind of all over the place for me. I couldn’t stand the first one, loved the second one, thought the first “Minions” spinoff had its moments, felt the shtick was stale for the third one, and was pleasantly surprised by the second “Minions.” Now comes the fourth entry chronologically from the first, the sixth in the series overall. Unfortunately, I found this one to be on the lower end of the spectrum. It didn’t send me into a days-long depression over the state of family entertainment like the original did, but it is quite possibly the worst since the first.
Lakeland man’s trip to Taco Bell lands him in Polk County jail
Polk County deputies say 34-year-old Marcus Jenkins of Lakeland was found asleep in the driver’s seat of his car at the Taco Bell drive-thru on Highway 92 in Lakeland. Deputies say the car was running, shifted into drive, and his foot was on the brake. They also say he smelled of alcohol.
