LAKESIDE – American folk sibling trio Girl Named Tom will return to Lakeside’s Hoover Auditorium on Saturday, July 20, with tickets still available.

Tickets for the trio's performance at Hoover Auditorium, www.lakesideohio.com are with adult tickets at $38 per person. A parking pass is separate.

The band from Pettisville, Ohio, is composed of siblings Bekah, Joshua and Caleb Liechty. They are the winners of Season 21 of the American talent competition The Voice, with the distinction of being the first trio on the American version of The Voice to win the competition.

The group formed five years ago, taking their name from a family joke that Caleb and Joshua wanted a brother and called Bekah “Thomas.”

“We were just hoping to get more exposure,” Bekah said of their try-outs for The Voice.

Group was coached by Kelly Clarkson

They were chosen and competed on the team coached by Kelly Clarkson, taking her fourth and final win as a coach.

“She gives such great advice,” Bekah said of Clarkson. “She’s the real deal. She’s down-to-earth and makes you feel so comfortable.”

Performing on national television felt surreal, the trio said.

Throughout their journey, the siblings have kept each other grounded and the siblings said they were thankful to have one another.

Along the way, they’ve impressively generated over 25 million streams across chart-rattling covers, such as “River,” “The Chain” and “Dust in the Wind.”

Girl Named Tom returns to Lakeside

Returning to Lakeside brings up good memories, Josh said. They performed along the lake in the pavilion in 2021 and in the Hoover Auditorium in 2022.

“We’ve always thought it was such a beautiful place,” Josh said about Lakeside.

Their late father took them on their first trip there, driving them into the private community.

“It brings back good memories,” he said.

They are always mixing in new songs, new arrangements, so no two Girl Named Tom performances are the same, they said.

They are looking forward to performing new songs, including a few not heard yet at the show Saturday.

Some classics they like to always include are favorites like “Wichita Lineman “, Josh said.

“Even if we play something 300, even 500 times, it still feels so good,” Caleb added.

    Siblings to perform newest release

A newer addition to the setlist includes “Get a Little Lost” , their latest single, released in March 2024.

Bekah noted she was excited to include another female to their band, with drummer Raven joining them this weekend for their performance at Hoover Auditorium. They want people with their best intentions at heart with them on this journey, she said.

“As the team grows, we keep learning,” she said. “We have great people that believe in us.”

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Hoover Auditorium, and the line starts no earlier than 5:30 p.m. outside the venue.
