Suspect identified following standoff near Pinedale Heights
RAPID CITY, S.D. - An armed suspect has been apprehended by police following a seven-hour standoff near Pinedale Heights. At about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, law enforcement received reports of gunshots in the area of 5200 Pinedale Circle. Commission approves ‘racino’ license transfer to Ogallala in western Nebraska
LINCOLN — The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission has unanimously approved transferring a racing license from a racetrack in Hastings to a new facility in Ogallala. Commissioners voted 7-0 Friday to allow the license transfer for Hastings Exposition and Racing Inc. The company plans to partner with Elite Casino Resorts, which owns the resort in Grand Island, and plans to establish a multi-track quarter horse racing circuit in western Nebraska.
