Ohio's legal challenge to home warranty provider First Premier Home Warranty and its owner has escalated. Attorney General Dave Yost files a lawsuit accusing them of duping consumers through deceptive business promises. LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Another Allen County Fair has come and gone, and officials are more than happy about how this year turned out. Bigger and better seemed to be the trend. With the exception of concert night, every day of the fair saw an increase in attendance from last year. Temperatures stayed unseasonably low, and there was hardly any rain. The livestock auction buyers showed up big this year too, with record-breaking bids on several animals. To Allen County Fair officials, the best thing about this year's fair was the number of kids participating in 4-H.
Visitors explore real bomber planes used in World War II at Allen County Airport
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - World War II history came to life at the Allen County Airport. Sunday was the final day of the Arizona Commemorative Air Force's Flying Victory Tour stop in Lima. B-17 and B-25 bomber planes that had flown in World War II were on display for people to explore and ride. Inside, you could see the original guns and radios as well as photographs and signatures of World War II veterans, including those of the men who fought in the first air raid on Japan.
Kenton community comes out to fundraiser to support restaurant destroyed in July fire
KENTON, OH (WLIO) - The community of Kenton pitched in to support a local business that burned down. A recovery benefit was held in downtown Kenton Sunday afternoon to help the former employees of the restaurant 101 Smokehouse, which was completely destroyed in a fire on July 31st. People could pitch in by buying tickets for 50/50, participating in raffles, and ordering from the Smokehouse food truck. The fundraiser was organized by drivers from Shadybowl Speedway to give back to a business that has helped them.
