Aug. 26—LIMA — A homeless man recently pleaded not guilty in Allen County Common Pleas Court on charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault. Hook-Waltz, Ramsey roads to close Thursday
MONROE TOWNSHIP — Portions of Hook-Waltz and Ramsey Roads will be closed Thursday, Aug. 29. The Allen County Engineer’s Office will close the portion of Hook-Waltz Road between the railroad and Stewart Road, as well as the section of Ramsey Road from Hook-Waltz to Hillville from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for asphalt paving.

Search warrants were served today (Monday Aug 26) at two locations in Hardin County as an investigation is underway into a recipient of a revolving loan. Kenton 8th grade Volleyball falls to Hardin Northern 2 – 0
The Kenton Wildcats hosted Hardin-Northern Saturday morning. Both teams traded points the 1st 5 servers. Then the polar bears were able to score 3 points per serve the rest of the set, beating the Wildcats 12 – 25. In set 2 it was close early on but Hardin-Northern served 11 points in a row and Kenton couldn’t fight back, losing the set 10 – 25.

Heir Force Community School excited to kick off the new year at new location
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Around 250 students at Heir Force Community School start a new year with a new building. It was the first day of school at their new location at 219 North Elizabeth Street. Thanks to partnerships and a lot of work, the former Spherion building was transformed into a space that puts the kindergarten through 8th grade students under one roof. The school believes that opportunities for success exist in Lima for the school and its students.
Ohio schoolgirl, 12, shot dead while sleeping in bed as mystery shooters fire into three homes
The community of Dayton, Ohio is reeling in the aftermath of a deadly shooting that took the life of 12-year-old Isabellas Amor-Carlos. Isabellas, a student at Charity Adams Earley Girls Academy, was sleeping in her around 1 a.m. on the morning of Friday, August 23 when gunshots were fired at her home in the 30 block of W. Fairview Avenue. Isabellas was fatally struck by the stray gunfire that entered her home.
