Investigation Involving Possible Fraudulent Activity of Revolving Loan Recipient Underway
Search warrants were served today (Monday Aug 26) at two locations in Hardin County as an investigation is underway into a recipient of a revolving loan. In April of this year, the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance and the Hardin County Commissioners announced that Kitchen’s Supermarket was the first recipient through the program.

Kenton 8th grade Volleyball falls to Hardin Northern 2 – 0
The Kenton Wildcats hosted Hardin-Northern Saturday morning. Both teams traded points the 1st 5 servers. Then the polar bears were able to score 3 points per serve the rest of the set, beating the Wildcats 12 – 25. In set 2 it was close early on but Hardin-Northern served 11 points in a row and Kenton couldn’t fight back, losing the set 10 – 25.

Heir Force Community School excited to kick off the new year at new location
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Around 250 students at Heir Force Community School start a new year with a new building. It was the first day of school at their new location at 219 North Elizabeth Street. Thanks to partnerships and a lot of work, the former Spherion building was transformed into a space that puts the kindergarten through 8th grade students under one roof. The school believes that opportunities for success exist in Lima for the school and its students.

The community of Dayton, Ohio is reeling in the aftermath of a deadly shooting that took the life of 12-year-old Isabellas Amor-Carlos. Isabellas, a student at Charity Adams Earley Girls Academy, was sleeping in her around 1 a.m. on the morning of Friday, August 23 when gunshots were fired at her home in the 30 block of W. Fairview Avenue. Isabellas was fatally struck by the stray gunfire that entered her home.

Suspect arrested after allegedly shooting into vehicle with child inside
TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was arrested and charged after allegedly firing shots into an occupied vehicle in central Toledo Saturday. According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the 2600 block of Elm Street just after 2:30 p.m. Police determined the suspect, 20-year-old Tresean Woods, who knew the victims, fired shots into a vehicle occupied by a 24-year-old and a 2-year-old.
