Knoxville Man Charged with Felony Criminal Mischief
A Knoxville man has been charged with felony criminal mischief after alleged vehicle vandalism early Friday morning. According to court records, on July 26th at 2:34 am, Knoxville Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Marion St. and Attica Rd. for a report of a vehicle being vandalized. The reporting party stated that two males took off running westbound on Marion St and described one of the males as having black and white hair. This fit the description of 18-year-old Zachary Rankin according to Officer Joe Weppler. The reporting party was then able to positively identify Rankin as the one vandalizing the vehicle due to a Facebook image.
Seneca Cos. names new president, chief operating officer
Seneca Cos., a Des Moines-based petroleum products company, has announced Darren Binning as its new president and chief operating officer. Binning’s 20-year career with Seneca started in 2004 when he joined as a project manager. Most recently, he served as vice president of the company. He graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.
Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation & Des Moines Airport Authority Announce Artists for New Des Moines International Terminal
Des Moines, Iowa (July 2024): The Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation and the Des Moines Airport Authority have announced the artists chosen for five large-scale, sitespecific art installations throughout the new airport terminal, slated to open in late 2026. To support the artist selection and installation process, the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation initiated a $4 million fundraising effort in late 2023 which, to date, has reached just over 80% of the fundraising goal. This includes a $1 million contribution from the Ruan Family Foundation and support from over 60 donors. Fundraising will continue through 2025.
