According to a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office report, first responders were dispatched at approximately 1:07 p.m. on Saturday to the crash scene at the Arizona Street intersection near the Glidden Aquatic Center. Authorities say 19-year-old Andrew Dax Bennett of Glidden was traveling westbound on the highway on a 2002 Honda VT750DC and had stopped for traffic to make a left turn. A westbound 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by 18-year-old Brenna Marie Bowman of Glidden, failed to slow for the stopped motorcycle and collided with its rear end. Bennett was thrown from the Honda, sustaining incapacitating injuries. Carroll County Emergency Medical Services transported him to St. Anthony Regional Hospital for treatment. Bowman was cited for failure to maintain control, while Bennett was cited for no valid motorcycle license and failure to provide proof of liability coverage. The Glidden Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
