Benedict alumni help HBCU break annual fundraising goal
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Benedict College is celebrating a decade of giving. 42 of the 63 alumni clubs, from the college have surpassed their yearly fundraising goal which goes to support several hardworking Benedict students. School officials say they wanted to reach their goal of $1.5 million dollars, but eclipsed that amount by more than $200 thousand dollars for a total of $1,730,173.45 dollars.

South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer has had an interesting offseason concerning the wide receiver coach position on his staff. This winter, Beamer hired long-time SEC assistant James Coley to coach the wideouts and shifted Justin Stepp from that job to tight ends.
