The Augusta Police Department announced something new that pulled me in. The Blue Envelope Program is a new program geared towards having a better level of interaction between officers and folks with disabilities or special needs, including down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, and even anxiety and depression. The program was created by the Down Syndrome Advocacy Project of Maine.

It was the New Hampshire Intertribal Native American Council's 20th annual Pow Wow. Traditionally, Pow Wows were held by Native tribes after the winter season ended, to feast and celebrate surviving the cold weather.
