Local Non-Profit aims to keep kids active throughout summer
MISSOULA, Mt. — One local nonprofit is doing its job to ensure that children across the treasure state are keeping active this summer. 127 Sports Intensity is running its annual 8k shooting challenge for kids across Montana. The challenge is open to children ranging from first to eighth grade. What's the challenge? Kids who enter have the summer to record themselves taking as many basketball shots as possible. The target range varies between 4,000 and 8,000 shots depending on your age range.

Three small fires ignited northwest of West Yellowstone
Seven smokejumpers deployed to tackle lightning-caused wildfires. On the afternoon of July 12, a band of dry lightning moved through the Madison Range, igniting three spot fires in the Beaver Creek and Cabin Creek areas off U.S. Highway 287, about 15 miles northwest of West Yellowstone. Smoke from the fires is currently visible from U.S. 287 and from Hebgen Lake.

The Associated Press' description of the sport is when "Wrestlers cover themselves in olive oil, making it more difficult for opponents to grab them. The winner is the wrestler who makes his opponent's back touch the ground."
