WashU volleyball looks for consistency in 2024
2023 was a season of highs and lows for the Washington University volleyball team. Despite recording six winning streaks of three or more games and finishing 24-10 (5-2 in conference play), a disappointing performance in the UAA tournament resulted in a school-worst sixth-place UAA finish. However, after snagging an at-large...
Cross-country looks ahead to fall season
At last year’s National Championship, the Washington University men’s and women’s cross-country teams finished 17th and 13th respectively, each led by an All-American: then-senior Cullen Capuano on the men’s side and then-senior Alexandra Blake for the women. For Capuano, who is returning for a fifth year as a graduate student, the finish line in Pennsylvania was not the end of the road for his running career in St. Louis.

CHICAGO, IL — A former school worker from Illinois, convicted of stealing $1.5 million worth of food, primarily chicken wings, has received unexpected support from an NFL player. Kansas City Chiefs Defensive Tackle Chris Jones recently made headlines with his offer to pay for the stolen chicken wings in an attempt to secure the release of Vera Liddell from prison.
Chiefs: The Avengers of the NFL
In the movie called: “End Game” the character Tony Stark says, “We’re the Avengers, not the PREvengers, right?” Or… something like that. The point is, the Kansas City Chiefs are the Avengers of the NFL. Not only are the Chiefs the Avengers trying to three-peat, but I feel like they are the Avengers trying to make right all the ways the New England Patriots made wrong: the mis-guided tuck rule, the deflate gate incident, the video taping of opponents practices, and the questionable way in which Tom Brady “won” all his rings which supposedly makes him a GOAT. You can tell, I find that so bogus. Also, the Chiefs are the Avengers of all the ways the East coast biased media were behind those Patriot teams who now don’t seem to be able to wait until the Chiefs dominance is dead and gone.
Day One Highlights From The 2024 Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout
Before the first 15 runs were done during the first day of the 36th Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Sunrise Beach, Mo., the two fastest catamaran and V-bottom speeds were laid down on the event’s three-quarter-mile course this morning. Of course, the nine-time-defending overall Top Gun champion American Ethanol team was one of those boats—the other was last year’s Top Gun V-bottom, Factory Billet, which upped its event record speed to 186 mph after a significant jump to 184 mph at the 2023 happening.

A Chiefs-Texans trade to tell Kadarius Toney ‘good riddance’ once and for all
It's most certainly not reinventing the wheel to say that the Kansas City Chiefs have endured their share of headaches and issues with wide receiver Kadarius Toney since acquiring him in a trade with the New York Giants for the former first-round pick. Costly drops, more costly penalties, mental mishaps and just generally not performing up to his talent level -- it's all been problematic for Toney.

Potential Cardinals overhaul could still leave All-Star veteran marked safe
Where things head for the St. Louis Cardinals this offseason is ultimately up to the players on the field down the final month-and-change of the regular season. The club entered Saturday's matchup with the Minnesota Twins at 64-64 on the season, five games out of the final NL Wild Card spot and looking highly unlikely to see the postseason.
