A nursing cat who lives in the garden area of a Lowe’s store in Lancaster has been stolen, and employees want her back.

The cat – named Precious – is all black with one streak of white fur on her side. She showed up at the Lowe’s garden center a few years ago. Alison, a Lowe’s employee, told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that someone from the store would always feed or tend to Precious.

“People would take their breaks with her. Some people would spend lunches with her,” she said.

On Saturday, Precious was stolen. Her 2.5-week kittens were left behind.

“A lot of us are devastated. I know myself, I was in tears. I was heartbroken,” Alison said.

The employees are trying to take care of the kittens, but two of the babies are struggling.

Alison explained they don’t mind if somebody wants to give Precious a better life, but they need Precious back to take care of her kittens until they are weaned and she can be spayed.
