    H.S. Golf and Tennis Roundup: Area teams having success on the links and the courts

    Berne Union boys golf: The Rockets placed third out of 14 teams at the Logan Invitational at Hocking Hills Golf Club. The Rockets shot a season-low 338. The top scores for the Rockets were Colton Ratliff's 80, Colt Probasco's 80, Will Bolton's 85, Cameron Brown's 93 and Zach Hartman's 96.

    Berne Union defeated Amanda Clearcreek 377-400 at Lancaster Golf Club. Top scores for Berne Union were Will Bolton with a 92, Colt Ratliff 96, Colt Probasco 94 and Zach Hartman 93.

    Lancaster boys golf: The Gales finished fourth in the second round of the Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division at Turnberry Golf Course, shooting a 351. Ben Richardson and Jacob Miller both shot 86s to lead the Gales. Gabe Betts shot an 88, Zane Brengman shot a 91 and Bryson Branham finished with 95.

    T he Gales shot a 372 to finish 12th out of 16 teams in the Warrior Invitational at Cumberland Trail Golf Course. LeGabe Betts led the Gales with an 80, Jacob Miller shot 89, Zane Brengman 101, Ben Richardson 102 and Jackson Cluse 110.

    The Gales were invited to compete in the Families for a Cure Invitational at the Golf Club of Dublin. They finished seventh, shooting a 374. Leading the Gales was Gabe Betts with an 83. Ben Richardson shot a 93, Zane Brengman 99, Jacob Miller 100 and Greyson King 113.

    Lancaster girls golf: The Gales placed third in the OCC-Buckeye Division Match 1 at Echo Springs and shot 428.

    Aubrie Bibler shot 84 to place third and lead the way for the Gales, and she was followed by Molly Stedman (101), Brennan Salapek (116), Skyler Smith (127) and Maddie Barnes (136).

    Lancaster fell short 181-241 against Big Walnut in a dual match at Royal American. Aubrie Bibler led the Gales with a 57, followed by Molly Stedman (59), Brennan Salapek (60), Maddie Barnes (63) and Nirvana Smith (68).

    The Gales placed second in a tri-match at Marietta Country Club. Marietta won with a 200, followed by Lancaster (228) and Logan (231). Aubrie Bibler was medalist with a 45. Molly Stedman had a 59, followed by Brennan Salapek (57), Nirvana Smith (67) and Maddie Barnes (71).

    Lancaster defeated Bloom-Carroll 203-217 at Pine Hill Golf Course. Molley Stedman was medalist with a 46, followed by Aubrie Bibler (47), Nirvana Smith (54), Brennan Salapek (56), Maddie Barnes (61) and Skyler Smith (61).

    Bloom-Carroll girls golf: The Bulldogs placed 11th out of 12 teams at the Fairfield Union Invitational at Pumpkin Vine Golf Course. Niley Mathias shot 83 to place fifth, and she was followed by Peyton Cartwright (122), Zoey Comston (131), Makayla Noble (131) and Trinity Stertzer (143).

    The Bulldogs had three players finish in the MSL-Buckeye Division match at Crown Hill Golf Course. Niley Mathias shot 89 to finish runner-up, followed by Peyton Courtright (111) and Makayla Noble (131).

    B-C lost 203-217 at Pine Hill Golf Course against Lancaster. Niley Mathias led the way with a 47, followed by Zoey Comston (53), Peyton Courtright (57) and Kallie Kosch (60).

    TENNIS

    Pickerington North 4, Lancaster 1 Singles: Kynlee Baer (L) def. G.Wilson 6-4, 6-3; Poeppelman (P) def. Kaylee Akers 6-2, 6-2; Stanley (P) def. Kenzie White 6-3, 7-5. Doubles: Debold-Essex (P) def. Brinkley Conklin-Tori Wellington 7-6, 7-5; Thompson-C.Wilson (P) def. Vivian Worthington-Ayla Smith 6-2, 6-0.
