    Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels receives grant from Fairfield County Foundation

    LANCASTER - The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels Fairfield County recently received a grant in the name of the Richard L. Roundhouse and the Alma S. Busby through the Fairfield County Foundation for the agency’s parking lot expansion project.

    “We are grateful for the funding from the Richard L. Roundhouse/Alma S. Busby Fund through the Fairfield County Foundation,” said Executive Director Anna Tobin in a news release. “The grant will support the expansion of our parking area which will accommodate the growing number of older adults visiting our facility.”

    Additional funding for the project has been provided through the Stevenson Fund of the Columbus Foundation, PNC-Charitable Trust/Marten’s Family Fund, ADAMH, the agency’s Annual Campaign and other fundraising activities.  The agency continues to seek funding to support this project.

    As the county’s Office on Aging, Meals on Wheels provides an entire menu of supportive services to ensure health, connection, and independence for older adults and their caregivers.     The agency’s offices and production facility are located at 1515 Cedar Hill Road.

    The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels Fairfield County has been serving seniors throughout Fairfield County for over 50 years.  Meals on Wheels provides a comprehensive program of nutritional and related services which are adapted to the specific needs of Fairfield County residents, age 60 and over, who choose to retain independent living arrangements.
