    High school roundup: Lancaster girls tennis team wins four straight matches

    Tennis

    Lancaster 5, Logan 0: Singles: Kynlee Baer defeated Aslyn Schluep 6-0, 6-0; Kaylee Akers defeated Emma Smith 6-0, 6-0; Kenzie White defeated Emma Fuller 6-0, 6-0. Doubles: Brinkley Conklin-Tori Wellington defeated Rachel Bauers-Avery Dicken 6-2, 6-1; Vivian Worthington-Kiersin Willet defeated Elena Peta-Avery Debord 6-1, 6-1.

    Lancaster 4, Teays Valley 1 : Singles: Kynlee Baer (L) defeated Presley Hamilton 6-1, 6-0; Kaylee Akers (L) defeated Abby Baker 6-3, 6-7, 7-6; Kenzie White (L) defeated Zoey Proctor 6-0, 6-3. Doubles: Brinkley Conklin-Tori Wellington (L) defeated Grace Murlin-Julia Kramer 6-4, 6-2; Lexie Young-Lauren Miller (T) defeated Vivian Worthington-Addy Brown 7-5, 3-6, 7-6.

    Lancaster 5, Reynoldsburg 0 Singles: Kynlee Baer defeated Riley Elliott 6-3, 1-6, 7-6;Kaylee Akers defeated Kayla Kitchen 6-1, 6-7, 7-6; Kenzie White defeated Emma Harmacek 6-0, 6-0. Doubles: Brinkley Conklin-Vivian Worthington defeated Zebeba Hassan-Hadlee Gordon 6-0, 6-0; Tori Wellington-Addy Brown defeated Isha Subba-Kennedy Corcoran 6-0, 6-1.

    Lancaster 5, Athens 0: Baer won 6-3, 6-4; Akers won 6-2, 6-2; White won Mahi 6-1, 6-0Conklin-Wellington won 6-4, 6-2; Willet-Worthington won 6-1, 6-1.

    Volleyball

    Fisher Catholic 3, Fairfield Christian Academy 0: The Knights dropped to 5-1 in the Mid-State League-Cardinal Division after their 25-13, 25-21, 25-23 loss to the Irish.

    Micaiah Herron had 18 points, three aces, was 100% on serve receive with six kills and 18 digs to lead the Knights. Katy Smeltzer finished with 18 digs and five assists, and Abby Heisner had seven kills.

    Fairfield Christian Academy 3, Grove City Christian 2: The Knights pulled out a hard-fought 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 20-25 MSL-Cardinal Division win over the Eagles.

    Micaiah Herron led the way with nine aces, seven kills, one block and 12 digs. Nakayla Cash had 13 digs and four aces, Katy Smeltzer had 22 digs and four aces, Sam Rouser finished with 25 digs, 14 assists, nine kills and two aces, and Zarah Roby added 15 kills, 10 digs and two assists.

    Bloom-Carroll 3, Liberty Union 0: The Bulldogs improved to 7 0 and 4-0 in the MSL-Buckeye Division after their 25-10, 25-6, 25-10 win over the Lions.

    Madison Lacy finished with 35 assists, Sienna Hogue had 17 digs four aces, and Corinne Knapp chipped in 14 aces.

    Bloom-Carroll 3, Logan Elm 0: The Bulldogs cruised in their 25-11, 25-15, 25-13 MSL-Buckeye Division win over the Braves. Evelyn Brown had 14 kills and three blocks, Madison Lacy had 36 assists and three aces and Sienna Hogue added 15 digs.

    Soccer

    Bloom-Carroll 7, Hamilton Township 0: The Bulldogs improved to 9-0-1 overall and 5-0 in the MSL-Buckeye Division. Tessa Brooks led the way with three goals, while Savannah Wilde, Davynn Miller and Mackenzie Haslett had one goal each. Lauryn Pinkerton and Elizabeth Cline had one save in goal apiece.

    Golf

    Lancaster boys: The Gales hosted the Lancaster Invitational at the Lancaster Country Club and finished eighth with a 349. The Gales were led by Jacob Miller, who shot 81. Gabe Betts shot 82, Zane Brengman 91, Bryson Branham 95, and Ben Richardson 102.

    Competing in the Grove City Invitational at Hickory Hills Golf Course, the Gales shot 352 for 10th out of 15 teams. The Gales were led by Betts, who shot 80.  Miller shot 87, Brengman 88, Branham 97 and Devon Schultz 110.

    Fairfield Union boys: The Falcons placed first in a quad match at Hocking Hills Golf Course, finishing with a 165 total.

    Leading the Falcons and match medalist was Isaiah Delong with 38, followed by Caden Featheroff at 41 Bryce Lepi at 42 Dylan Chilcote at 44 Eli Wolfe at 51 and Ben Spillers at 54.

    The Falcons lost a dual match against Bexley, 151-180, at Westchester Golf Course. Isaiah Delong shot 40, Will Ogg and Will Wolfe shot 46, Dylan Chilcote 48 Eli Wolfe 50 Caden Featheroff 54.
