    What you need to know: County and ODOT projects current and upcoming

    The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that the following roads will be closed for thefollowing dates listed below:

    Bickle Church Road NE (Township Road 384) will be closed Monday, Oct. 7, through Friday, Nov. 1, for bridge deck replacement, weather permitting. This closure will take place on Bickle Church Road NE between Millersport Road NE and Lancaster Newark Road NE (Ohio 37). Construction will take place between the addresses of 2060 and 1815 Bickle Church Road NE.

    Bauman Hill Road (County Road 53) will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Oct. 4, to remove and replace a culvert, weather permitting. This closure will take place on Bauman Hill Road between Lutheran Church Road and Schwilk Road. Construction will take place between the addresses 4307 and 4300 Bauman Hill Road SE.

    ODOT projects in Fairfield County

    Current and upcoming road closures and restrictions for Fairfield County are listed below.

    U.S. Route 33 median improvement - Installation of cable barrier along US 33 in Franklin and Fairfield counties from Gender Road to the emergency turn-around between Hill-Diley and Pickerington Road. Estimated completion is October 2024. Continued impacts: Motorists can expect shoulder closures along U.S. 33 for the installation of cable barriers.

    Ohio 159 bridge replacement - This project includes bridge replacement of the Ohio 159 bridge carrying Ohio 159 over Muddy Prairie Run, just north of Pleasant Valley Road. Estimated project completion is October 2024. Continued impacts: Ohio 159 is open to traffic.
