Budweiser icon comes to St. Joseph
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) One member of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, a group of horses for promotions and commercials by the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company, visited St. Joseph on August 31, 2024. The group travels all year round for different special events. Budweiser Clydesdales first stopped at Hi-HO Bar & Grill. Alec Smith, Budweiser Clydesdale handler, said they were showing one horse to the public and letting the community say hello and have photo opportunities. "We brought Champion," Smith said. "He has an 18.2 hand high Budweiser Clydesdale. He stands amazingly and well represent of our company."

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Do Portugal has entered their second day in St. Joseph, a family owned circus that boasts talented athletes and acts that leave the crowd stunned and cheering. Do Portugal has entered the U.S. for a months-long tour, bringing excitement and family fun for the people of St. Joseph this week, offering performances filled with grandeur such as tightrope walking and trapeze flying. Aldo Portugal, the circus's director, says that it's an exciting time everyone should check out. "We have everything. We have dancing music, we have excitement, we have interaction with the audience. It brings excitement out of you, you know, it brings emotions. It makes you feel alive. If at least it does to me, and if it does to me, it's going to make to the audience, for sure."

Big Shots raising money for Noyes Home
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Big Shots hosted their monthly poker run, their charity focusing on the Noyes Home. They traveled to RBI's Lounge, American Legion and Easton's Pub & Grub. Kim Bighan, Big Shots owner, said their monthly poker run has been done for the past 30 years. "Over three years, we have had a poker run and donated to the Noyes Home," Bighan said. "We have a group that likes to ride motorcycles. We decided let's make the rides worthy, and so we decided to do a monthly run."
