Motorcyclist killed in collision with tractor-trailer off US-521: HP

LANCASTER, SC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway after a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer, South Carolina State Highway Patrol said Monday.

Troopers responded to calls regarding the incident around 6:50 a.m. on Monday near US-521, north of Lancaster.

An initial investigation stated that a Kawasaki motorcycle was coming onto SC-5 from an entrance ramp off 521 attempting to enter SC-5 and struck a tractor-trailer. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene.

There is no mention of any charges at this time and none of the parties involved have been identified.
