7 Statesville smoke shops caught selling weed, counterfeit items
IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A month-long investigation in Iredell County resulted in search warrants served at a group of smoke and vape shops in the area. On Tuesday, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said it searched seven shops on Friday, July 10. Investigators said they had evidence the shops were selling products labeled as hemp or CBD that had THC levels higher than that allowed by state law. Further, investigators said they got complaints that the shops were selling the items to school-aged children.
Davidson County deputies find wanted suspect hiding under a bed
DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson County Sheriff's Office arrested two people for a litany of charges, after finding one suspect under a bed. Deputies report that on June 11, they arrested Frankie Dale Hicks, of Lexington, and Dorcus Estelle Newton, of Denton, during a theft investigation on White Dove Drive in Lexington.
Chattanooga Red Wolves Give Up Own Goal in 2-0 Loss to Charlotte

Thousands without power in northeast Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Over 16,000 residents in northeast Charlotte are without power, according to Duke Energy. No details have been released on what may have caused the power outage. The outage stretches from the University area to Highland Creek. The estimated restoration time is 1:45 a.m.
