Union County student tests positive for tuberculosis
UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A Porter Ridge High School student tested positive for tuberculosis and hundreds of people may have been exposed, health officials said. At least 270 people may have been exposed, but Union County health officials say there is no further risk of exposure. Union County Public Health said the teen is following protocol for active tuberculosis cases.

Chesterfield – As the 2024-25 school year begins, there will be a few new faces in charge of some athletic programs at Chesterfield High. Athletic director Kevin Kenny had to make a big hire, late in the spring, to fill an unexpected opening for the head coaching position in football.
