Man accused of shooting and injuring woman in Fern Ridge area faces charges
VENETA, Ore. – A man accused of shooting and injuring a woman in the Fern Ridge area was arrested on Sunday evening, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. LCSO officials said the shooting happened originally on the 25000 block of Hunter Avenue in Veneta. The victim was then transported to Perkins Peninsula Park by witnesses.

Woman wanted on federal warrant arrested in Elmira by sheriff's deputies
ELMIRA, Ore. – A 40-year-old woman wanted on a federal warrant was arrested on Friday morning in Elmira, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office. LCSO officials said that a deputy who was following up on a theft case early on Friday morning learned that a woman, identified as Kirbie Hulsey, with a federal warrant for her arrest through the U.S. Marshals Service was at a residence in the 24600 block of Demming Ridge Road. Court documents show that the warrant stems from charges in Salinas, California, for possession of drugs where prisoners are kept and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Hulsey allegedly fled into woods behind the property after deputies arrived and a drone unit, along with K-9 officer Ripp, were dispatched, authorities said.
