Iowa City seeks public input on affordable housing
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City is calling on the public to give input on affordable housing and community development needs. The city is hosting several public meetings to focus on how to use funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to benefit low to moderate income households.
Sabula’s Island City Days on tap Aug. 2 and 3
Sabula’s big summer celebration, Island City Days, is set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3. This year, the Ski Bellevue Waterski Team will once again perform for spectators on Sabula’s Middle Lake on Saturday night from 4 to 6 p.m. Another highlight for Saturday will be the Iowa City Aerohawks Airplane Show that will take place over Sabula’s Middle Lake from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KENT Corporation Chairman and CEO Gage Kent announced the appointment of Kevin Fields, a longtime senior executive and board member, as the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, effective June 21, 2024. Fields succeeds John Thorpe, who, has announced his intention to retire effective January 1, 2025.
