Lane Closures on Blairs Ferry Road Expected for Months Due to I-380 Project
(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A portion of Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids will have lane reductions for several months. The reductions come as a construction project continues on the I-380 overpass. The project is expected to completed in about three months. Detours will be posted in the area to ease the flow of traffic throughout the duration of the project.

Missouri man pleads guilty to lesser charges relating to fatal Volga, IA incident
VOLGA, Iowa (KCRG) - A Missouri man has pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving in regard to a fatal incident last September. 24-year-old Tucker Baker, of St. Joseph, Missouri was initially charged with homicide after two people fell off the tailgate of a truck he was allegedly driving earlier this year.
Northeast Iowa Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Oelwein
One man is dead following a two-vehicle weekend collision south of Oelwein. The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the crash at about 12:30 pm Saturday (07.27) afternoon at the intersection of 130th Street and Indiana Avenue. A Buick LeSabre driven by 80-year-old Michael Puff of Oelwein was traveling east and a Chevy Equinox driven by 19-year-old Connor Jorgensen, also of Oelwein, was heading north when they collided.
