    Trader Joe's opened; Reno's East closed; and Moneyball is underway

    Trader Joe’s is finally open!

    Of course, you already know that if you’re reading Team LSJ’s coverage. We've been covering the grocery chain’s planned arrival in the Greater Lansing market since news broke in 2021. Rachel Greco and Sarah Moore wrote four stories just this week, plus photos and videos from our visuals team:

    It’s fun to cover stories of high interest to readers. And let’s just say Trader Joe’s fans are quite passionate. Of the top 10 most-read stories on LSJ.com this week, six of them were about Trader Joe’s.

    The other popular topic? Moneyball Pro-Am basketball, which started Tuesday at Holt High School. Moneyball features current Michigan State players in addition to players from other colleges in Michigan and neighboring states. And it's a great opportunity for fans (and journalists) to see players in a different, more laid-back environment.
