Internet outage affecting state and local business

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The global technology outage that halted flights, banks, TV stations, and computer systems, is affecting many local Michigan places.

Here’s a list of places that are currently affected by the cyber outage:

• Lansing Police Department
  • “Some LPD services are affected by a national IT outage. 911 lines are working. Our downtown PD Records will be closed until services are restored.”
• The Michigan Department of Treasury
• The Michigan Department of Natural Resources
• Michigan DTMB
• Meijer- located in Charlott Michigan – employee said the opening was delayed 1 1/2 hours Friday morning but is now open
• At least one Speedway gas station in Lansing is closed and it’s because of the outage, according to an employee
• UIA phone services are down.
