    Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame inducts Class of 2024

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame officially inducted the four-member Class of 2024 on Saturday night at Jackson Field.

    The class includes longtime high school and college coach Jake Boss Sr. , University of Michigan record-setter Ken Hayward , Negro Leagues legend Norman “Turkey” Stearnes , and longtime Detroit Tigers scout Clyde Weir .

    Boss Sr. and Hayward were on hand for the ceremony while Stearnes and Weir were honored posthumously, with friends and family there to celebrate.

    Each honoree or one of their family members gave an acceptance speech and got to unveil the new plaques that will remain at the Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame in Jackson Field.
