Pick the LSJ high school athlete of the week: May 13-18

Here is a look at the individuals in the running to be voted the Lansing State Journal's latest high school athlete of the week winner.

Voting is unlimited and open until noon Wednesday to determine a winner, who will be featured in the LSJ.

Kaitlyn Dickey, Bath softball

The senior and Madonna commit contributed to the Bees recording sweeps of Hastings and East Lansing. She hit .857 with three home runs, three doubles and drove in 15 runs in the wins. Dickey is batting .583 with nine home runs, 52 RBI and has scored 35 runs.

Brady Feldpausch, Fowler boys track and field

The junior set personal records while placing first in the 110 and 300 hurdles at a Division 4 regional. He finished with a time of 14.71 seconds in the high hurdles and 39.73 seconds in the low hurdles. Feldpausch also was on the winning 800 and 1,600 relay teams for Fowler, which claimed the team title.

Abby Frank, Lansing Catholic girls tennis

The junior captured a regional title at No. 3 singles and helped Lansing Catholic capture a Division 4 team title. She also won the CAAC White title and didn’t drop a set during league and regional play. Frank owns an 18-3 record.

Isabella Portnoy, Okemos girls tennis

The freshman captured a Division 1 regional title at No. 1 singles. Portnoy was the No. 2 seed at her flight and claimed the title with a 7-5, 7-6 (2) victory over top seed Daniella Richardson in the title match. She played a part in Okemos winning a team regional title.
