Here are the years when Greater Lansing football teams have reached the MHSAA playoffs

Last fall was historic for the Perry football program.

The Ramblers qualified for the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs for the first time in program history under their own merits, making the field by finishing 5-4 and ranking 29th in Division 7 in playoff points. It was the first time Perry got a taste of postseason football outside of the COVID-19-impacted 2020 season when everybody made the state tournament just as the MHSAA allows in each of its other sports.

With Perry's appearance last fall, every football program from Greater Lansing has qualified for the playoffs at least once. Fowler leads all area programs with 36 all-time appearances (not counting its 2020 trip).

As opening night for the 2024 season looms closer on Aug. 29, here is a look at the number of all-time playoff appearances by Greater Lansing football teams as recognized by the MHSAA. This doesn’t include the 2020 season.
