LANSING — A man and a woman died in a crash that happened overnight on Saginaw Highway in Lansing.

LPD received a call at 12:50 a.m. Saturday about a collision near the Marshall Street intersection and Lansing Catholic High School, Lansing Police Department Sgt. Ryan Lawrence said.

When officers arrived, the 27-year-old man was deceased after possibly being ejected from the vehicle. A woman was extracted from the vehicle, but shortly after succumbed to her injuries, Lawrence said.

A preliminary investigation points to speed being a factor in the single-vehicle crash, he said, but no other information was available at this time.
