EAST LANSING — The Michigan State football team will open its 2024 season against Florida Atlantic on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024.

The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET.

The Spartans, who are coming off a 4-8 season, will play their first game under new coach Jonathan Smith . The Owls , under former Texas and Houston head coach Tom Herman, are also coming off a 4-8 season.
